St John's College and the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages are launching a fund to endow a graduate scholarship in memory of the late Professor Elizabeth Fallaize.
Elizabeth was the first woman to become a Tutorial Fellow of St John's. She had an international reputation for her work on French modern literature and was a particular inspiration to women at the University of Oxford. St John's recently recognised Professor Falliaze’s outstanding contribution to the College by commissioning a portrait of her to display in Hall.
