Kendrew Quadrangle Opening
St John's College to open its new Kendrew Quadrangle
St John's College will open a new quadrangle on 16 October. Named after the Nobel Prize winning chemist and former President of the College, Sir John Kendrew, the quadrangle was designed to incorporate the latest thinking on sustainability. Please see below a short press announcement which outlines the meaures which have been taken to reduce the building's dependance on non-sustainable fossil fuels and, in comparison with a conventional design, halve the carbon footprint of the new Kendrew Quadrangle.
