Biography
I studied PPE at St John's before undertaking a Masters at the University of Georgia. After returning to College and completing my D.Phil. in 1996, I began teaching and researching in Politics at Oxford and held Lectureships at Balliol, St. Hilda's and Exeter Colleges. I am interested in political identity, particularly in Europe. From 2000 to 2006, I was Director of Development at Exeter College, Oxford. I was elected to a Supernumerary Fellowship and appointed Fellow for Development at St. John's in 2007, becoming a member of Governing Body in 2010. I work full time as the Fellow for Development, responsible for fundraising and for development strategy. The College is particularly keen to enable all students to flourish at St John's and, through the generous philanthropy of Alumni and Friends of the College, I am working on increasing the number of bursaries and scholarships for undergraduates and graduates, and to garner additional resources for teaching, research and facilities.
