Research Interests
Nick Harberd is a biologist whose research at the John Innes Centre in the University of East Anglia has illuminated on the fundamental mechanisms by which plant hormones and proteins regulate plant growth and development. His latest book, Seed to Seed: The Secret Life of Plants, was greeted with acclaim by professional biologists and general readers alike when it appeared in 2006. He will take up the Sibthorpian Chair on the retirement of Professor Chris Leaver in December.
