Tutorial Fellow in Engineering Science

Teaching Interests

I give Tutorials in College to Engineering students in mathematics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and on occasion, mechanics and structures. In the University I am a Lecturer in Numerical Analysis and a member of the Mathematical Institute, so my University teaching is in Mathematics.

Research Interests

My research is mostly concerned with fluid mechanics and in particular with unsteady laminar fluid flow. Techniques to determine these flows are mostly numerical and described by the area of computational fluid dynamics. These flows are important for the design of high performance mass transfer devices involving blood or other delicate materials. A fuller description of my research interests can be found in my home page.
