Financial Matters
Oxford University is no more expensive than many other universities and St John's College is committed to ensuring that, as far as it is possible, no student is prevented from coming to study here solely on financial grounds.
We are also able to offer additional grants for various expenses relating to your studies, such as books, field-courses, and travel in connection with special studies, projects and dissertations. At St John's, students also benefit from reasonably-priced accommodation and meals for the duration of their course. Read more about fees and living costs at St John's.
Tuition Charge and Financial Support 2012-2013
The tuition charge for one year of undergraduate study for Home and EU students will be between £3,500 and £9,000 depending on your household income.
Eligible students with a household income of less than £42,600 will receive a non-repayable bursary of up to £4,300 in the first year and up to £3,300 in each subsequent year of their course.
Full details of the University's tuition charges and financial support, including fee levels for international students, can be found on the University's Student Funding pages.
UK Government Funding
UK undergraduates can get support for the cost of university from the government. This may include loans to cover tuition charges and to contribute towards living costs, as well as non-repayable grants. More information can be found on the University's Fees and Funding pages.
