St John’s is a charity and the College can claim Gift Aid if the amount of tax you pay in any tax year is at least equal to the amount of basic rate tax St John’s is reclaiming on your behalf. This means that with Gift Aid and transitional relief, a donation of £100, for example, becomes worth over £128, a difference which is of very great help to the College. This applies to all gifts, whether a one-off or a regular payment, and whatever the amount.
