St John's College Oxford
The Library is usually open from 9am to midnight during term time. During the vacations opening is more variable. Please see below for more information.

The Library is open to all current members of College for use during staffed opening hours. Members may bring friends or colleagues in to show them the Laudian Library and the eastern end of the Old Library but visits of more than five people must be by prior arrangement. Alumni are also welcome to visit the library during opening hours. All visitors must sign the Visitors’ Book kept at the Desk. Visitors are not allowed to work in the Library without permission from the Librarian.

The library will be closed 6 July – 1 September during the move of the working collections into the new Library & Study Centre.

There will be limited access to the Special Collections during this closed period, restricted to scholars from outside Oxford who cannot visit at a later date. Please email the Librarian, Dr Petra Hofmann, if you need access: petra.hofmann@sjc.ox.ac.uk

The library will reopen in the new building on Monday 2 September.
