Conference delegates at St John’s can enjoy the history of a traditional Oxford college, where the old meets the new.

Function rooms and catering

St John’s has a range of diverse function rooms; these include a fully equipped Auditorium which can seat around 180 delegates, depending on the number of wheelchair users. The Auditorium has an adjacent Reception Room which can be used for morning and afternoon refreshments as well as buffet lunches. This is also an ideal space for poster board presentations. The Auditorium is complemented by a Foyer which provides space for registration, making this area a perfect conference venue.

Our many other meeting rooms can accommodate between 12 and 50 delegates.

We offer an extensive range of catering options, please contact us for details.

Photographs of the Auditorium, meeting rooms, accommodation and other facilities are in the Gallery below. Full details of all the facilities available in College can be seen at Conference Oxford.

The College Bar

The College Bar is located in the heart of the College and offers draught beer, seasonal cocktails, wines and spirits, as well as tea and coffee, in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.  The Bar is open Monday to Saturday from 6 to 11 pm.

Bedrooms

Conference delegates can be accommodated in our unique and comfortable bedrooms across the College. Complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee-making facilities are available in each room, and rooms are serviced daily on Monday to Friday.  Each morning you awake to a full English Breakfast served in the 16th-century dining Hall. Check in is from 2pm and check out is 10am. Bedroom keys can be collected from the Main Lodge which is open 24 hours.

The College gardens provide a tranquil and beautiful setting where delegates can relax, or they can enjoy our impressive seven quadrangles which date from 1555 to 2010.
