Aislin Sheldon matriculated at St John’s in 2017 to read for a DPhil in Clinical Neuroscience at the Wellcome Centre for integrative Neuroimaging (WIN). Her project investigates the effects of sight loss from inherited retinal degenerations. This research measures from the retina along the visual system to the visual cortex to determine the amount of degeneration present to inform therapies for these diseases.

Within St John’s, Aislin is the current Co-President of the Women’s Leadership Programme. This programme brings together St John’s alumnae and MCR students in workshops aiming to empower women through developing leadership skills.
