Dr Ana Wallis

As Project Lead for the Post-GCSE Inspire Programme, I work with colleagues in the Access and Admissions Team to create Access and Outreach events for school pupils aged 16-18 (Years 12 and 13). I am responsible for organising the St John's Inspire Programme for Year 12 and 13, as well as academic Study Days and Subject Exploration Days. Our events allow pupils to try taster lectures and interactive sessions in a range of subjects such as Maths, Modern languages and Classics, as well as trying out subjects which may be new to them, such as Engineering, Human Sciences and Anthropology. Additionally, our Inspire Programme offers skills sessions which support pupils planning to attend University, such as sessions on student finance, managing mental health, and cooking on a student budget.
