Dr Cyril Closset

I am a University Research Fellow (URF) of the Royal Society at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, since September 2018.

Research Interests

As a mathematical physicist, I am chiefly interested in the very rich mathematical world at the intersection of Quantum Field Theory, String Theory, and Supersymmetry.

The main goal of my current research is to develop new tools to explore the strong-coupling regime of supersymmetric field theories. I am also interested in the many ways in which quantum field theories appear within string theory, leading to a beautiful interplay between quantum physics and pure geometry.
