As the College’s Academic Dean, I coordinate and oversee various aspects of the academic policy and activities of the College, including outreach, admissions, student progress, academic staffing and graduate administration.
My professional background is in the management and leadership of higher education. Before joining the College in 2015, I worked for the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) where, as Head of Learning and Teaching, I was responsible for leading policy development on learning and teaching excellence and innovation, provision of information to students, and teaching funding. Prior to that, I worked in higher education management at the Universities of Warwick, Bath and Newcastle, with a particular focus on learning and teaching development and academic governance.
I am an alumna of St Hilda’s College, where I read History, and
started my career curating a number of college archive, manuscript and
art collections in Oxford and Cambridge. My doctoral research was on the
