Career Development Research Fellowships 2024
The fellowships will be tenable either from 1st October 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Career Development Research Fellows are primarily expected to undertake original research. A small proportion of the role is allocated to academic activities other than research, for the purposes of career development. This may include some teaching, or other duties.
The fellowships are normally awarded to those who are approaching the end of their doctoral research. Candidates should have submitted their doctoral thesis no later than three months, and no earlier than three years, before the start of this post. Students (such as medical students) whose doctorate interrupted their professional training, should have completed their professional training since 1 October 2021. They must also have research excellence in their chosen field as demonstrated by a completed doctoral thesis and/or published forthcoming books, or articles in refereed journals, as relevant to the candidate’s field; or promise of such achievement, as relevant to the candidate’s field.
Further particulars, and instructions about how to apply, can be found on here
The closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Monday 16th October 2023. Shortlisting, interviewing and appointing procedures will be concluded in early 2024.
The college is committed to equality of opportunity.
Applications for this post are particularly welcome from candidates who are women, have a disability and those from black and minority ethnic backgrounds, who are under-represented in academic posts in Oxford.
