This is a new and senior position in
the administration of the College, and the appointed person is expected to play
an active part in College life and contribute to its strategic direction.
We are looking for an individual with significant strategic and operational management experience alongside proven financial and leadership skills, preferably at a comparable organisation in the service sector. A collaborative and supportive manner of leading a team is essential as is an understanding of the academic context in which the role is set. The Home Bursar will be accountable to Governing Body for all domestic service delivery functions in College with an annual budget of more than £6 million and approximately 130 staff.
This is a full time post, available immediately. The competitive remuneration package includes salary on the University’s grade 10 scale, currently £53,691 - £62,219 p.a. (appointment will be made according to experience) plus a generous housing allowance of £13,730 p.a., private medical insurance and a USS pension. The post holder will be elected to a Supernumerary Fellowship and, upon successful completion of a probationary period, become a full member of Governing Body.
