Ewan Miller in Recital

Orchestra VOX will be welcoming an accomplished young oboist, Ewan Miller to their next installation of the Recital Spotlight Series. Ewan Millar is recognised as one of the most promising oboists of his generation. Millar came to international attention in 2021 when he reached the Grand Final of the world’s most prestigious youth music competition: The BBC Young Musician of the Year, claiming first prize in the woodwind division, and making a spectacular appearance in the Grand Final concert.
Subsequently, he has been invited to perform as a soloist with numerous orchestras across the UK. Highlights include debuts with the BBC Philharmonic at Bridgewater Hall (performing Oscar Navarro’s ‘Legacy’ concerto) and the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London (performing Marcello’s Oboe Concerto).
Millar has performed on a number of occasions as a member of Orchestra VOX, but tonight he makes his debut with them as a soloist.
