Magda Kozarzewska was born and educated in Warsaw, Poland, and studied at the Chelsea School of Art and the Slade School of Fine Art. She was taught by William Coldstream, Lawrence Gowing and Euan Uglow. Her work is figurative and includes landscapes, still lifes, interiors, and portraits. She has taken part in many solo and group exhibitions in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, including galleries such as the RA, NPG, Hayward Gallery, Eton College, Polish Cultural Institute, Aylesbury County Museum, and Zacheta Gallery of Modern Art in Warsaw.

This exhibition shows paintings and drawings that are intimate portraits of people and places the artist knows well. She likes to spend a long period of time working in one area, often as long as several years. She says: 'The longer I work in one area, the more pictures I see. If I visit one area for one session only, I simply don't see enough'. She paints friends, family, people closest to her and places she visits all the time.

Open daily from 12.00-18.00.
