The CaveThis multimedia opera focuses on the meaning of the story of Abraham.  It intertwines video interviews with prominent figures from the Middle East, live vocals, orchestral music, and in our version, we will also have an actor contextualising all of this information in the present day.

The orchestra includes unusual instruments, such as typewriters used as percussion, as well as two vibraphones, six woodwinds, a string and vocal quartet, two pianos, and percussion.

The music director is Hannah Schneider and the director is Jonny Danciger.

There will be two performances at 8pm on Wednesday 22 and Friday 24 May. Book tickets at Oxford Alternative Orchestra.
