- Date 24 February 2022 - 4.30 p.m. - 24 February 2022 - 6.00 p.m.
- Location St John's College Barn
Rawz hails from Blackbird Leys in Oxford and is an MC, poet and youth worker, as well as our Sound Artist in Residence for 2022. Rawz' residency at St John's will look at the use of hip hop music and culture as a tool set for the exploration of a wide range of themes, from the global impact of colonialism and slavery, to introspective reflections on a person’s choice of footwear. This is the first workshop he will be running for students and the community.
This workshop will chart Rawz' own personal journey as a hip hop artist before looking at the history of hip hop and its influence on global culture. The event is free and all are welcome, from St John's and the wider Oxford community.
