Alumna Sri Raj wins British Council UK Alumni Award
Sri was presented with her award at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. on 26 March. The Professional Achievement Award recognises alumni whose work has created change in their chosen profession.
Sri Raj moved to the UK from the USA to study for a BA and MA in Human Sciences at St John's (2004) before completing her PhD studies at Cambridge. She is currently a human geneticist at Cornell University, where she is researching how genetic variation acts in different environmental contexts to predispose to complex disease, particularly heart disease and diabetes.
