Charlotte Dannatt runs to victory with England U20 athletics

Many congratulations to Charlotte Dannatt, first-year Biomedical Sciences student, who recently competed for England in the U20 Women’s team at the road-racing athletics event in Oderzo, Northern Italy – and won a Silver medal!

Charlote Dannatt Biomed undergrad England U20 athletics May 18An England team of five U20 women raced over 5k, over multiple laps through Oderzo, where the atmosphere and support from the crowds was superb.

Charlotte (second from the right in this photo) was making her debut for England, and ran extremely well: ‘I was ninth overall, and second home for England out of 5, meaning I made the scoring team of three and we won a Silver medal. It was a great experience!’ What’s more she ran a personal best time of 17:25. The Gold medal went to Italy and the Bronze to Denmark.
