New appointments for Professor Lady Sue Black

Professor Lady Sue Black, President of St John's, has been appointed as Squadron Honorary Colonel of 2 (City of Dundee and Highland) Signal Squadron, 32 Signal Regiment Army Reserve and named as the new Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University.

Professor Lady Sue Black has been honoured to accept two new appointments.

On 1 June 2026 she became Squadron Honorary Colonel of 2 (City of Dundee and Highland) Signal Squadron, 32 Signal Regiment Army Reserve and has been commissioned in His Majesty’s Land Forces in the rank of Local Colonel.

In addition she has today been named as the new Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). Sue received an Honorary Degree from the university in 2024.
