Professor Jaideep Pandit wins international research award

Professor Pandit, Fellow in Physiological Sciences at St John's and Consultant Anaesthetist at the Oxford University Hospitals, recently wrote a Doctor of Medicine thesis in operations management, on the topic of improving operating theatre efficiency in the NHS: ‘Towards Efficiency: Developing Quantitative Measures of Operating Theatre Performance in the National Health Service’. 

The Emerald/EFMD award is an international prize. Emerald Group Publishing Limited is a major publisher of international business and management journals, and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international, not-for-profit membership organisation with over 860 members from academia, business, public sector and consultancy from 84 countries. It seeks to reward excellence in research by sponsoring these awards.

Professor Pandit has been commissioned by Cambridge University Press to write a book on 'Practical Operating Theatre Management' based on his work.
