Dr Laura Moody
Biography
I came to Oxford as a postdoc following the completion of my PhD at the University of Birmingham in 2011. I then secured a Royal Society University Research Fellowship to start my own research programme. During my fellowship, I was a Junior Research Fellow at Wadham College (2020-2022) and then worked as a Biology Lecturer at Pembroke College (2022-2024). I joined St John’s College in 2024 as an Associate Professor in Molecular Plant Biology.
Teaching
I teach Biology at the molecular level, focusing on cell biology and developmental genetics.
Research Interests
My research group aims to unravel the genetic basis of 3-dimensional growth, a fundamental and invariable feature of all land plants.
