On Saturday of 7th Week the College's collection of medieval textiles and some of its silver will be displayed, highlighting the ways in which the College has re-used and recycled its precious objects since the fifteenth century.
  • Date 27 November 2021 - 2.00 p.m. - 27 November 2021 - 5.00 p.m.
  • Location Garden Quad Reception Room

Silver was often melted down and re-fashioned; textiles were cut up and re-used. The College is also currently melting down three pieces of old and damaged silver, and commissioning a new piece, in keeping with this history of re-use and recycling – the whole process is being documented, photographed and filmed, and the results will be displayed later in the year.

Entry is free and all are welcome!
