Kate Nation and Laurence Hunt teaching awards

We are delighted to celebrate two St John’s Fellows, Professor Kate Nation and Professor Laurence Hunt (both Department of Psychology), who have recently been recognised by the University with Excellent Teacher Awards.

Professor Kate Nation was chosen for her exceptional teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, leading courses in Developmental Psychology, Advanced Reading, and Developmental Science.

Professor Laurence Hunt has also been recognised with the Early Career Excellent Teacher Award in honour of his transformative teaching, innovative research-led pedagogy, and exceptional student support.

Both also received praise for the care that they show their students and wider departmental communities, with their commitment to "support[ing] wellbeing and equity for all members of the department" and "compassionate mentorship" being picked out.
