Masters student featured in exhibition on young climate leaders in Hong Kong

Date 23 January 2026

Congratulations to Max Han, a postgraduate student reading for a Masters in Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, on being featured in an exhibition highlighting young climate leaders at the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change (MoCC) in Hong Kong.

Established in 2013, the MoCC is the world’s first museum dedicated to climate change. It is situated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the Sha Tin district. The MoCC’s newest exhibition, ‘Ignite the Future: A New Generation of Climate Action’, highlights the stories of ten young climate innovators from around the world.

Ignite the future

Max Han was identified by the MoCC as an internationally important youth climate leader and invited to share the story of co-founding Youths United for Earth, Malaysia’s leading grassroots nonprofit, which mobilises youth for climate action through advocacy, storytelling and campaigns. Max also led Malaysia’s first and largest sustainability mentorship program and co-drafted Southeast Asia’s first environmental rights declaration. His contributions to climate justice have earned him international recognition, including being named the first Southeast Asian to be named a Future Nobel Laureate Scholar in Stockholm during Nobel Week 2024. Max also received the Diana Award for humanitarian work and was featured in Tatler's Leader of Tomorrow for his influence in Asia.
