Oxide Radio interviews St John's DPhil student Graihagh Cordwell

Alice and Graihagh, Radio Oxide

Oxford College Castaway is a reworking of Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, where undergraduate or graduate students are interviewed about their lives, experiences, and journeys to Oxford. The presenter, St John's DPhil student Alice Watson, then plays the castaway's eight chosen pieces of music.

In Episode 14, DPhil Music student Graihagh Cordwell talks to Alice on Oxide Radio, the student radio station. The episode features a wide-ranging discussion about Graihagh's thesis on refugees and music in the Zaatari camp in Jordan, studying and performing music in Manchester, life growing up on the Isle of Man, and working backstage at the theatre. And also life in Oxford and Graihagh's favourite things about St John's!
