St John's students excel in Finals examinations

Many congratulations to this year's Finalists who have performed extremely well in their examinations.

They achieved more than 40 First Class results in Final Honour Schools, including 8 Firsts in History and History with Joint Schools, and 7 Firsts in Mathematics and Mathematics with Joint Schools. 

In addition, these outstanding Finalists are to be congratulated for winning the following Prizes:

  • Samuel Dayan,  BA Jurisprudence: Gibbs Prize; Wronker Law Prize (joint overall best performance); Wronker Prize for Jurisprudence; Allen & Overy Prize in European Union Law; Falcon Chambers Prize for Land Law
  • Todd Liebenschutz-Jones, MMath Mathematics: Gibbs Prize
  • Callum Morganti, BA Literae Humaniores: College Ancient History Prize
  • Michael Rizq, BA English and Modern Languages (French): Congratulatory letter for 1st Class marks across all written papers 
  • Angus Russell, BA History and Modern Languages (Russian): Gibbs Prize for Joint Schools with Modern Languages; Gibbs Prize for Joint Schools with History; Arnold Prize for the best thesis in Modern History or any Joint School with Modern History or in Philosophy, Politics and Economics
  • Rhys Steele, MMath Mathematics: IMA Prize 
  • Conor Wilcox-Mahon, BA English Language and Literature:  Gibbs Prize for the best performance in a 3-hour timed English exam; Gibbs Prize for distinguished performance in English
