Find out how you can volunteer with our access and outreach work here.

We are supported by a number of tutors in the College who provide academic expertise at our events. We are always happy to hear from tutors who would like to get involved in access at St John's.

Ways to get involved:

  • Study Days: raise the profile of your subject by hosting seminars, lectures and workshops for high-performing students.
  • Essay Competitions: encourage academic curiosity by giving pupils the opportunity to explore their chosen subject area independently. Entrants are usually invited to attend a study day at the College.
  • Inspire Programme: develop content for Inspire pre-GCSE sessions (Year 9); provide content for the Inspire Digital website (Year 10 and 11) in the form of articles, quizzes, or essay questions; run academic taster sessions for students attending the St John's Inspire Summer School (Year 9-12).
