About Bainton Road Nursery
We know how important your child is and aim to deliver the highest quality of care and education to help them to achieve their best.
This prospectus aims to provide you with an introduction to Bainton Road Nursery, our routines, our approach to supporting your child’s learning and development and how we aim to work together with you to best meet your child’s individual needs. This should be read alongside our Childcare Terms and Conditions for a full description of our services.
At Bainton Road Nursery we aim to:
- Provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age; in a caring and safe environment for the students, academic and non-academic staff of St Johns College and where places are available to the wider University.
- To provide a wide range of stimulating, exciting, and inspiring activities for all the children that supports and encourages their all- round development and help them to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually.
- To offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity. To work in partnership with parents to help children learn, develop and achieve.
Bainton Road Nursery is situated on the Bainton Road, OX2 7AF in the North Oxford. We are a five-minute walk from Summertown, the local library and parks. Oxford city centre is approximately 1.7 miles away.

The nursery is closed on Bank Holidays, with the exception of the two May bank holidays when we are open.
Bainton Road Nursery opens 48 weeks of the year, but is normally closed for the following dates:
One week for Easter
Two weeks in summer (in August)
One week for Christmas (closure begins at 1pm on the last working day before Christmas)
