Meet the Bainton Road Family
Sarah P
Hello, my name is Sarah, I am a mother of four and have 25 years’ experience working with children from birth to 6 years. I started my career in community-run pre-schools and then trained as an Early Years and Primary Teacher and have never looked back.
Working at Bainton Road Nursery provides me with an opportunity not only to manage but to continue my passion to teach young children and be part of an extended family that builds the foundations for lifelong learning.
Julie
Hello, my name is Julie. I have been in childcare for over 20 years. I joined the Bainton Road family in November 2016. Bainton Road Nursery is like no other nursery in its design and family feel. The children and their families are at the centre of all that we do and I love being able to be a part of their journey of fun, development and discovery. I look forward to meeting you.
Rachel
Hello, my name is Rachel and I am very excited to be part of the Bainton Road Nursery team. I have worked with children developing my childcare skills from when I left school, almost 30 years ago. During that time, I have worked in a variety of settings including pre-schools, primary schools and as a nanny.
I am a mum myself, so I know and understand how important it is to have the highest standards of care and attention, to support children to become confident, caring and independent little people and I very much look forward to being part of that journey with them.
Terry-Ann
Hello, my name is Terry-Ann. I am the newest member of the Bainton Road team, joining the nursery in March 2025. I have nearly 17 years of experience working with children of all ages in different types of settings, but I really liked the opportunities provided and the special attention offered to the children in a smaller setting. I am really looking forward to getting to know the children, staff and families and having the opportunity to teach them about my home country, which is Jamaica, sharing traditions and activities.
Leanne
Hello, I’m Leanne and I’ve been working in early years settings for 6 years. Prior to this I also worked for a local dance school which is where my passion for working with young children began. I love getting creative and I don’t shy away from messy play. There is never a dull day here whether it’s building empathy, learning to share or crazy conversations!
Sulva
Hello, my name is Sulva and I have been working in childcare since 2018. I started working with a childcare agency with no experience, but studied to achieve my Level 2 qualification.
I have learned so much over the past four years and am passionate about teaching children in the early years, supporting their all-round development and skills for later learning. I am so happy to join the Bainton Road team and to share my knowledge and skills.
Farheen
Hello, my name is Farheen. I have worked in childcare since 2017 and, throughout those years, I have gained different experiences and knowledge from working in different nurseries. I enjoy watching the children grow and develop and see their personalities evolve. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and going for long walks .
Sophie W
Hello, my name is Sophie and I am the newest member of the nursery team. From an early age my passion was dancing, where I spent all of my spare time learning new routines and performing. When I was old enough, I started to teach the younger children and this inspired me to gain a qualification in early years, where I have now been working in for 6 years. I have worked in a range of different settings, including large corporate nurseries, but after spending time at Bainton Road as an agency worker, I knew that this was the place for me. I now look forward to becoming part of the team, getting to know the families and sharing my dance experience with all of the children.
Mohibun (Nessa)
Hello, my name is Nessa. I have been working in childcare for 15 years in different types of settings. My passion has always been working with children in the early years and having the opportunity to watch children grow and develop into a more confident, capable learners. Bainton Road is such a small setting that children have the space and opportunity to thrive and I am so proud to be part of that adventure with them.
