St John's is pleased to offer Summer Schools to all pupils on our Inspire Programmes

All pupils on our Inspire Programmes are invited to take part in virtual summer schools. We also host residential summer schools for Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 on our Inspire Programmes. Places for these are competitive and pupils will be invited to apply when applications open.

Residential Summer Schools

In 2024 we are running four residential summer schools between 21st July and 7th August. The Year 9 Summer School will run from 21st-23rd July, Year 10 from 25th-27th July, Year 11 from 29th July-1st August, and Year 12 from 4th-7th August.

Our summer schools are the perfect opportunity to explore a range of different subjects, make friends with students from other schools and stay overnight in St John’s halls of residence. They are free to attend and priority is given to students on the Inspire Scholars Programme, Inspire Critical Thinking and Inspire Year 12.

Virtual Summer Schools

In 2020 and 2021 the Inspire Summer Schools took place virtually on our platform Inspire Digital. In 2020 participants explored the power of volcanoes, took part in academic taster sessions, and competitions! Click here to find out more
