Calling all alumni in North America!

This summer, two St John's students will be travelling across North America - find out more about them and how you can help them below.

Erick Moreno Superlano (2023, Migration Studies) has been awarded the Duveen Scholarship to travel to North America this summer. Erick is currently pursuing his DPhil. His journey to Oxford has been somewhat unconventional, beginning when he had to leave his country due to political persecution. He attributes his success to a series of opportunities, including an Oxford Refugee Scholarship. He is passionate about learning from people's life experiences and is thrilled to visit different cities and meet Oxford alumni in the USA. Erick will be visiting New York, Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Houston, Miami, Washington, New Orleans, Ithaca and New Haven during his travels. Reach out to the Alumni Office to be put in touch with Erick.

Khadijah Ali (2020, Modern Languages) is a final-year student who will be doing an internship in publishing and marketing at Anahuac Mayab University, Merida until 20 July. She then hopes to travel around the USA and Canada doing workaways. In her spare time she enjoys photography, making art, writing and film. In September she will be starting an art foundation at UAL, and wants to make documentaries in the future. She would love to hear from any alumni who could help her find work experience over the Summer in any creative industries. Please reach out to Khadijah via email.
