SJC Online: Beyond Our Planet with Professor Katherine Blundell OBE
The Development and Alumni Relations Office is pleased to present the recording of SJC Online: Beyond Our Planet with Professor Katherine Blundell OBE.
In light of the coronavirus pandemic, we have launched our SJC Online series to enable the Fellows of St John’s to connect with members of our community from wherever they are in the world.
Professor Katherine Blundell OBE, a Research Fellow of St John’s, Oxford Professor of Astrophysics and Gresham Professor of Astronomy, connected with our College community via video link to discuss her research Beyond our Planet, particularly relating to spectacular events in our Galaxy.
Professor Blundell also gave an update on her work with the Global Jet Watch, a multi-longitude network of telescopes around the world that provide her with a constant stream of data from the night skies. You can read more about the Global Jet Watch here.
