The Development and Alumni Relations Office is pleased to present the recording of SJC Online: Virtual Rome Project with Dr Matthew Nicholls.
Our Senior Tutor Dr Matthew Nicholls, a Roman historian specialising in ancient buildings and cities, has spent years creating a digital 3D model of ancient Rome. In this talk he discusses the sources of this work, the process of creating the model, some of the challenges which arise, and the uses in teaching, research and outreach to which it has been put.
