This week has seen demolition works in the Lodge start to open up the internal spaces

We are still making progress on the Porters' Lodge. This week we have removed and disposed of the fixed furniture, completed the protection of the main entrance gates, and excavated a trial pit under the arch to expose foundations.

The footway in front of College is now closed, which is assisting with the removal of waste.

The demolition works are starting to open up the Lodge.

Next week the intention is to continue the strip out and demolition of internal walls, remove the concrete floor down to a depth of 300mm, and remove and store the paving slabs in the walkway for reinstatement at a later date.
